Fifty-Three Years On The Same Waterfront
Van Brunt started as one warehouse holding cargo off the Port of New York and New Jersey. We have stayed in the same business ever since. The company has since grown past the port into four states, and the port operation in Elizabeth runs the way it always did.
Our Story
Fifty-Three Years On The Same Waterfront
Van Brunt started as one warehouse holding cargo off the Port of New York and New Jersey. We have stayed in the same business ever since. The company has since grown past the port into four states, and the port operation in Elizabeth runs the way it always did.

The Network
FIVE BUILDINGS,
FOUR STATES
More than 4.79 million square feet, 327 dock doors and 2,390 yard and trailer spaces. Two of the five buildings sit at the Port of New York and New Jersey, and the other three are large inland distribution centers in Pennsylvania, Kansas and Florida. Port work and volume storage happen in buildings built for each.
At The Port
TWO MILES FROM
THE TERMINALS
The Elizabeth operation is a US Customs-bonded warehouse, ASI certified for food grade, MOSA certified for organic, and set up for hazmat. It sits two miles from the terminals, so cargo comes off the ship and into storage under Customs control without a long dray.
What We Hold
FREIGHT MOST WAREHOUSES TURN DOWN
Van Brunt holds bonded cargo that has not cleared Customs, food and organic products that need certification behind it, and hazmat, including the liquids and aerosols many buildings will not take. Explosives, weapons, and adult-rated material are excluded.
